Doing well on standardized tests, in school, and in life requires focus and alertness. Hence, morning routines are critical. In this video, I lay out three morning routines which help launch me into the day. Hope they help you and let me know how your morning routine sets you up for success.

If you want to do well on your test, you want to do well in your job, then you have to start the day out right with high alertness and positive momentum; you have to be your best. The reality is when you get out of bed in the morning, it is a struggle for many, including myself. It’s a battle each day.

Tip 1: Do exercise

I do 60 push-ups, some kind of exercise. It makes me feel better.

Tip 2: Make your bed

It’s a mundane chore but after I make my bed, I feel accomplished. So I’ve been doing that regularly for years.

Tip 3: Read

Reading helps me focus on something other than myself and my own neurotic thinking. It just kind of makes me think better and feel more mentally alert.
