Alexis starts the Celebs Giving Back Series this week with guest, world famous DJ for the Miami Heat, DJ Irie. Irie talks about how he went from going to school to work in medicine to how he became a world famous DJ. He also talks about how he is helping to provide educational opportunities for young people, with his foundation the “Irie Foundation.”

DJ Irie is a world-renowned DJ, a brand, an Entertainer, as well as a philanthropist of the Irie Foundation. Irie’s DJ credits include the official DJ of the NBA’s Miami Heat, NBA All-Star Weekend DJ, VH1 Pepsi Super Bowl fan jam, and Fortune magazines 40 under 40.
A couple of years back, he DJ’d Robert Downey Jr’s private Birthday Bash held at Downey’s Malibu mansion with crowds of Hollywood Elites, including Jody Foster, Toby McGuire, Samuel L Jackson, and Sting.
In 2012, DJ Irie established the Irie Foundation in an effort to provide South Florida’s troubled youth with opportunities they may not otherwise have available to them.
