Three Interview Etiquette Tips
Alexis Avila Founder/President of Prepped & Polished asks Janet Parnes of Etiquette for Today to list three important interview etiquette tips.
1. Come armed with questions to show that you are interested and engaged.
2. If the interviewer offers you a cup of coffee, decline it.
3. The only appropriate cell phone mode is off.

In essence, I agree with the speaker in this piece; however, there are two problems with it: (1) what questions need to be asked? She doesn’t say; and (2) etiquette suggests that you accept a cup of coffee or soda so the host can feel his/her gesture is accepted as, say, an ice-breaker. Spilling a cup of coffee, I would also suggest, would be the exception rather than the rule.
