Lorena is a medevac helicopter pilot and professional writer, coach and speaker living in Alaska. Her career as a helicopter pilot was featured in Alaska magazine. Recently, Lorena did a wonderful TEDex talk entitled Getting Comfortable Living in the Yellow. Her professional coaching website and blog, Big State, Big Life, shows you how you can manage your fear, vulnerability, and uncertainty to live a life that matters.

Lorena Knapp has an undergraduate degree in biology from University of California Santa Cruz and Masters in Teaching from Alaska Pacific University. She received the airline transport rating, which is highest rating for an airline pilot.
