Aaron graduated from the University of Minnesota with his B.A. in History and is currently a Master’s candidate at Boston University in the History of Art and Architecture department.. He is passionate about not only teaching his students the material necessary to improve their scores on the ACT and their grades in their history classes, but also keeping them laughing as they progress through our rigorous test prep/tutoring program! As a recent college graduate, Aaron is intimately familiar with the important process of excelling both in school and on standardized tests such as the ACT, SAT, PSAT and the AP exams. Overall, Aaron is incredibly personable, funny, outgoing, and fastidious – and he uses all of these qualities to make ACT prep and academic tutoring more engaging for students than you might ever have thought possible!
Dan holds a BS in Environmental Studies and a BA in Chemistry from the University of Richmond, as well as an MPH with a concentration in Global Environmental Health from Emory University. He is currently doing research at Massachusetts General Hospital to complete his thesis for an MS degree in Biomedical Sciences from Tufts University in the spring of 2016. Dan spent three years as a teacher, one year each in Honduras, South Korea, and Connecticut. Dan has also spent significant time doing research in Chile and the Philippines, and is also a former high school lacrosse and basketball coach. He loves playing sports and doing any activity that involves being outside. Dan plans to enroll in medical school in 2017.
Hussein is a Massachusetts native and holds an undergraduate business degree from Boston University and a MBA from Boston College. He has been tutoring the SAT, ACT, SAT 1 & 2 Math Subject Tests, SSAT, as well as academic math, for over four years. He enjoys this work immensely and has helped some of his students increase their standardized test score on a single section by over 200 points. His teaching style is a mixture of patience, encouragement, and careful content review. In his free time, Hussein enjoys kung-fu, reading, and listening to jazz, soul, funk, and rock and roll.
Isabelle grew up in Arlington, MA, and has both a dual degree in Biology and Environmental Studies from Tufts University and a M.S. in Biology from Case Western Reserve University with a 4.0 GPA. She excels at standardized testing and scored in the 99th percentile for both the SATs and the GREs. Isabelle is also a published author in the field of animal behavior and enjoys helping students polish their writing skills. She enjoys working with middle-school and high-school aged students, having an extensive background in coaching basketball and teaching horseback riding lessons to these age-groups in addition to academic tutoring. In her spare time, Isabelle is pursuing her certification as an Animal Behavior Consultant, and enjoys spending time with her dog and two horses and playing and watching basketball.
Michelle has over six years experience with one on one tutoring. Her teaching style involves building relationships with her students and catering every lesson plan to the specific needs of each student. With a Master’s degree in Psychology, Michelle knows how to build a rapport with any student in order to make them feel at ease. In this way, she is able to teach very difficult concepts with great ease.
Rhiannon graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. She worked in the industry for 5 years before changing careers and earning her Masters in Education from Nazareth College of Rochester. She taught algebra and geometry at Advanced Math and Science Charter School for 5 years, before taking some time off to be a stay at home mom. In her free time she enjoys playing Ultimate Frisbee, camping, and hiking.
Samantha graduated from Boston University with a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Analysis and Policy. She spent her years post graduation working in Germany in the field of environmental education and policy. Currently, she is completing a post baccalaureate program at UMASS Dartmouth in preparation for medical school. An experienced SAT tutor, Samantha enjoys engendering confidence in her students, and believes that those who prepare will win the day. In her time away from tutoring and school, she practices krav maga and is working towards her next belt.
Stephanie holds a M.Ed. from Harvard University, as well as a J.D. from Boston College Law School and a B.A. in Religion from Oberlin College. She worked for seven years as a web site producer and editor at the public television station WGBH and currently works with middle and high school students at the equestrian center at Dana Hall School. She has exceptional ability to connect with students and help them gain confidence in areas that are challenging to them. In her spare time, she rides horses and competes on the hunter/jumper circuit and is currently learning the ropes as a new hockey mom to her nine year old goalie daughter.
Stephen graduated from Princeton University with a degree in Philosophy and a certificate in Theatre and Dance. Since then he has traveled around the country, working with children, college students, and adults as a tutor, a teacher, and a performer. He specializes in High School subjects and standardized testing.
Terri graduated magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Connecticut, with a dual degree in Education and English. She has 15 years of teaching and tutoring experience as a licensed teacher (Grades 5-12). Terri taught language arts to middle school students and prior to that worked in special education. She sat on multiple educational committees, including one that focused on learning interventions and one that developed models for reading support. Terri works with students from elementary school through college, and she is known for her reassuring approach, patience, and determination that result in improved grades and test scores. She serves as an incredible resource when it comes to preparing for standardized tests (SAT, ACT, SSAT, ISEE, MCAS). Terri’s other areas of expertise include helping students to improve writing and reading comprehension skills, executive functioning coaching, ESL English, and college and independent school essay advising. Recently, Terri was invited to be a speaker at the annual Parents’ Information Network conference where her topic was the most current research on successful strategies for homework through the grades.
Alex graduated with a dual degree in psychology and sociology from the University of Connecticut and went on to pursue a Master’s in psychology from Boston University. He has taught internationally in Ecuador and tutored privately for the past three years with a focus on the SAT and ACT, English, college prep and psychology. He spent four years abroad working for the State Department but recently returned to the States to pursue a career in NYC. In his spare time, he’s an aspiring stand-up comedian and amateur movie buff.
Anna Katten holds a BA in East Asian Studies, concentrating in Chinese language and literature, from Wesleyan University. She is currently working on translating her second Chinese novel into English and is also a Chinese and ESL tutor.
Anooj is a graduate from Cornell University where he received his Bachelors in Science at the School of Engineering. He studied Biological Engineering with a concentration in Biomedical Engineering. In the future he plans on attending medical school, and one day becoming a neurosurgeon. He was the valedictorian of his class at Holliston High School. He received a 5 on the AP Chemistry, Biology, U.S History, Physics, Calculus, and Government exams. He scored an 800 in Chemistry and Math SAT subject tests. He also scored a 37 on the MCAT. He has tutored students of all backgrounds and ages in math, science, and the humanities. His other hobbies include working out, cooking, basketball, ping-pong, and snowboarding.
Allison is a two-time graduate of the State University of New York at Albany, specializing in Mental Health Counseling. She currently works at Brandeis University, providing support to residential students as well as facilitating departmental programs and initiatives. Allison enjoys working with students of all levels on study skills, time management, and executive functioning skills.
Amy holds a M.Ed from William and Mary where she specialized in teaching students with emotional and learning disabilities, grades K-12. She is currently a stay at home mother who has been privately tutoring students grades 5-12 in all subjects including test prep and college essay writing. She is an active participant in the PTA in her local school district. In her spare time, Amy enjoys playing with her two children, volunteering in their schools, running, and reading. She is eager to pass along her test prep tips and strategies gleaned from many years of teaching and tutoring.
Anthony graduated with a major in Chemistry from The Johns Hopkins University. While attending college he spent two years tutoring Chemistry to other undergraduate students. Medical school is on his horizon in the next few years. Since graduating, Anthony tutors math and sciences and loves to help people improve. On his free time he likes to invent, sing, and play music.
Ayan graduated from Bucknell University in biology and political science and hold as M.S. in biomedical sciences from Tufts School of Medicine. He is currently finishing up his thesis on cryptosporidium and its host interactions but enjoys playing basketball, video games and reading in his free time. Ayan enjoys working with students of all ages in math, science and social sciences.
Ben holds a B.A. in Linguistics and History from the College of William & Mary in Virginia, and is working on his PhD in Linguistics at University of Illinois. His research focuses on how language use and understanding can change in differing contexts. Ben’s tutoring specialties include writing, editing, English, and Spanish. In his free time, Ben plays trumpet and raps in a soul/funk cover band and can easily be recruited for a game of basketball.
Bryan holds a B.S. in mathematics from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, with a concentration in statistics. He has a year-and-a-half experience of 1-on-1 tutoring, as well as three semesters of classroom tutoring at a community college. In his free time Bryan enjoys reading, hiking and running.
Caitlin grew up in Newton, MA and graduated from Harvard with a BA in psychology (cognitive neuroscience track) and a secondary in economics. She is currently working as a medical scribe while completing her thesis about ACL reconstruction surgery for an MS degree in Biomedical Sciences from Tufts University. This fall, she will start her first year of medical school at Tufts University School of Medicine. Caitlin has experience tutoring math and enjoys working with students of all ages whether it is discussing test prep strategies or solving problems. In her spare time, Caitlin volunteers for the Saint Rock Haiti Foundation and TEEEN, an organization that treats and prevents pediatric obesity. She also loves to stay active, cook, and cheer on all Boston sports teams.
Callie holds an a BA in Educational Psychology from University of Minnesota and a Masters in Cultural Memory from the University of London. She has over four years tutoring experience, as well as a year working in special education.In her free time she enjoys cooking, sailing, and hiking with her two dogs.
Chris holds a B.A. in Chemistry from Carleton College. He grew up locally and has 4 years of 1-on-1 peer tutoring experience in college. He also received perfect scores on the SAT II in Math, Chem, and Bio as well as on the BC Calc, Bio, and Physics AP tests. He plays tennis and pickup soccer, is an avid rock climber, and loves rooting for the Red Sox.
Candice holds bachelor’s degrees in English, French, and Spanish literature from Louisiana State University. She is a University of Michigan PhD candidate in linguistics, and she is currently finishing her dissertation while working as an ESL instructor in the Boston suburbs. She has nearly a decade of experience teaching and tutoring both children and adults in English, foreign languages, and test preparation. Her hobbies include martial arts, knitting, and reading.
Cordelia L. graduated cum laude from Harvard University with a B.A. in Liberal Arts, concentrating in Literature and Creative Writing. By day she works as a Marketing Operations Associate for a children’s publishing company, and by night experiments in the kitchen, takes long walks with her dog, and of course, gets lost in many a good book. Cordelia has experience working with children of all ages (5 – 16), and especially enjoys tutoring writing, critical reading, and other humanities subjects one-on-one.
Daria holds a B.S. from Brandeis University, where she double majored in Biology and in Health: Science, Society and Policy. She is planning on enrolling in dental school in the fall of 2015, and is currently involved in dental research. During college, Daria was a peer counselor. She has had experience with one-on-one tutoring for several years, especially in mathematics, and loves to teach. In her free time, Daria enjoys playing thepiano, baking, and running.
Dave graduated from Northeastern University in 2008 with a degree in civil engineering, and has over three years of work experience in the field. Recently, he directed a school for a non-profit, religious organization, building his skills in teaching and mentoring. Dave loves developing confidence in students, particularly in mathematics. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, hiking, playing guitar, and spending time playing with his three kids.
Daniel is a recent Boston University alumn with a B.A. in neurobiology and psychology. Within the past two years, he has spent the majority of his time on publishing a scientific paper on the cerebellum and starting his own software development company. However, when relaxing, he can be found lounging around reading philosophy, playing sports, or kicking back and playing video games. He lives by the following tenet: today better than yesterday, and tomorrow better than today.
Elizabeth holds an M.Ed from Framingham State University in Special Education, and an B.A. in Elementary/Special Education from Providence College. She specializes in teaching students with learning disabilities, ADHD, and Executive Functioning difficulties. Elizabeth currently works in a local school district as both a Literacy Specialist and Special Education Coordinator. Elizabeth has received extensive training on Executive Functioning, study skills, and differentiation. In her spare time, Elizabeth enjoys spending time with her son, gardening, and the beach!
Eric holds a Masters degree in Science and Medical Journalism from Boston University. He has bylines in publications including Technology Review, New Scientist, Discovery Channel News, and the Harvard Public Health Review. He has also been a professional writing tutor/specialist for 15 years. Eric enjoys seeing students learn and grow, and tailors his tutoring style and approach to each student.
Faye Z. holds a MBA from Cornell University, a M.S in Transportation Engineering from Northeastern University, as well as a B.S in Civil Engineering from University of Massachusetts, Lowell. She is a registered engineer in Massachusetts and currently works as a Business Consultant, where she helps solving complex business problems. Faye has experience tutoring ESL, Chinese, and Math subjects for all grade levels.
Ffyona has over 10 years’ experience teaching and tutoring students across the spectrum of K-12 education with a particular emphasis on college preparation. She specializes in fostering a flexible, safe, and fun learning environment in which student confidence can thrive. Ffyona holds a B.A. in Anthropology from Harvard University and a M.P.H. focusing on health policy and management from Yale University. Outside of teaching, Ffyona enjoys fitness training, live concerts, foodie hotspots, and travel.
Francesca holds a B.A. in English from Boston University, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude in three years. Francesca is fluent in French, having studied in Paris and minored in French Language and Literature. Francesca loves working with high school students, particularly on essay-writing, French, and reading. In her free time, Francesca can be found reading the latest Stephen King novel, training for a race, or winning a game of bocce.
Jacqueline graduated from Boston College where she studied Psychology and Physics. As a tutor, she believes in developing individualized approaches to education in order instill students with the confidence they need to embrace the studying process head-on. She is passionate about physics, math, reading comprehension, vocabulary, and for helping her students develop their own passion for these subjects. Her experiences have shown that passion is the crucial ingredient for long-term sustainable success. In her free time you can find her reading NASA’s technical reports, doing math problems for fun, hiking, and stopping people on the streets to pet their golden retrievers.
Jason M holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from M.I.T and an MBA from Boston College. He works full-time at a software company in Burlington, where he has worked since 2007. After completing his MBA in 2008, Jason discovered tutoring as a part-time profession and never looked back. Over the years, he has helped countless students with SAT and ACT prep as well as high school math and physics. He has also worked with students young (12-14) and old (25-30) helping them prepare for the ISEE and GMAT, respectively. Jason enjoys tackling tough challenges and infuses his philosophy of life into his students by encouraging them to “never settle for being ‘average.'”
Joan holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Master of Science in Public Relations from Boston University. She has over five years experience as an English and writing tutor and has also worked as a professional writer for over 25 years. She has tutored students from elementary school through college with a wide range of abilities from those needing help with executive functioning skills to those with advanced abilities. Her specialties include working on writing, reading comprehension, grammar, and vocabulary, developing winning college admission essays, and preparing for the SAT, MCAS, PARCC, and ISEE tests. She also performs diagnostic testing to understand where a student needs help and is a certified ESL tutor. In her spare time, Joan enjoys reading, writing, traveling, biking, and volunteering at
a dog rescue shelter.
Jonathan is a rising senior at Boston University majoring in Neuroscience and minoring in Philosophy. He is enrolled in the Boston University School of Medicine’s early assurance MMEDIC program, and is also conducting research at Harvard Medical School aimed towards discovering better methods for diagnosing Multiple Sclerosis. In his free time, Jonathan enjoys playing tennis, basketball, ice broomball, and any other intramural sport he can fit into his schedule. Jonathan loves teaching math, physics, chemistry, and scientific writing.
Jon M. holds a B.A. from Brandeis University, where he graduated cum laude with high honors in History and Politics, and also minoring in Music. He currently works at a public relations firm in Boston, and has taught music at local Sunday schools for the past 6 years. Jon has experience tutoring ACT, SAT, US history and SAT literature among other topics.
Kate holds a B.S. and M.Eng. from MIT in environmental engineering, and has spent time working and studying in France and Spain. Kate has several years of experience teaching and tutoring students in a range of subjects, and provides an encouraging and patient atmosphere for learning. She is currently completing her pre-medical course requirements at Harvard Extension School, doing research at Massachusetts General Hospital, and preparing to apply to medical school for 2018. Kate also played Division III volleyball for three years at MIT. When she’s not studying or teaching, Kate can be found on the volleyball court, hiking with her dog, or reading a good book.
Kunal graduated from Colgate University with a B.A. in Sociology/Anthropology and is currently a second year medical student at Boston University pursuing a career in head and neck surgical specialties. He has worked on molecular biology research at Harvard on treating aggressive cancers in infants and is currently working on research aimed at improving post-surgical outcomes. He loves teaching and has taught a wide range of students, from 6th graders in East Harlem to graduate students pursuing medical masters degrees. He hopes that he can spread his passion for science (chemistry, physics, biology, biochemistry, physiology, ACT, MCAT, etc.) and mathematics to students, but also thoroughly enjoys working with students on scientific or personal statement writing. Outside of the classroom, Kunal can be found working out, playing basketball and tennis, providing medical support at homeless shelters, singing with Doctor’s Notes (Our musical group), or trying and failing to catch up on Game of Thrones.
Larry’s interest in teaching was sparked by an independent study project in the Cambridge Public Schools while he was a senior at Harvard College. He graduated from Harvard cum laude, with a B.A. in Social Psychology, then earned a Master’s in Education at Wheelock College. After a career in classroom teaching, most recently in the Weston Public Schools, he moved on to academic tutoring and test preparation. For the past 5 years he has helped students prepare for the SAT, ACT, ISEE and SSAT. He also has extensive experience tutoring students from kindergarten through high school in writing, reading, math, history and general science. Larry loves to help students reach that “Aha” moment when it all comes together and they say “Now I get it!” When he is not working Larry enjoys swimming, cross-country skiing, reading novels and traveling to countries where he can use his elementary Spanish.
Lauren holds a B.A. in mathematics and pre-medical studies from Vassar College, and is currently pursuing a Master of Public Health degree in Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the University of California, Berkeley. She has been tutoring for 10 years, and enjoys helping students to hone their organization skills and reach their goals. In her spare time, Lauren loves to dance, read, and cheer for the Mets.
Lara graduated as a Sociology major with a Pre-Law concentration from Boston College. Since graduating, she has been preparing for law school as well as volunteering. Lara enjoys working with students of all ages in writing and standardized test prep. In her spare time, she enjoys playing the flute, cooking, and working out.
Leah holds a B.A. with honors from McGill University, where she studied Art History and Political Science. She has taught in formal and project-based classrooms, and is currently working in informal education as the Regional Director of Youth Engagement for a national nonprofit organization. She has been teaching test-prep skills, focusing on SATs and GREs, since 2007.
Lekisha holds a B.S. in Electrical Science and Engineering and M.Eng. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT. She also has an MBA from Northeastern University. She is a licensed teacher with varied experience teaching and tutoring in the U.S. and abroad. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and dancing.
Alex is an experienced and caring math teacher with 15 years of successful work in tutoring and test preparation.
He has taught both in St. Petersburg, Russia and Boston, Massachusetts. Throughout his career he has worked with kids from elementary, middle and high school as well as college students.
Alex holds two Masters in Engineering Degrees, one from St Petersburg University and one from Boston University.
Besides math teaching experience Alex has worked for 20 years as an engineer in hi-tech industry in the Boston area.
Liz holds a B.A. from Boston University and a M.A. from Columbia University. Currently, she is pursuing a doctorate in clinical psychology. Liz has experience tutoring for the SAT, ACT, SAT II subject tests, ISEE, SSAT, and specializes in helping students develop better organizational and planning skills. She is available for online tutoring and in-home NYC area.
Luke holds a B.A. in Neuroscience from Oberlin College, where he had rigorous exposure to both the humanities and the sciences. He is currently preparing to apply to medical school. At Oberlin, he was employed as a tutor by the Neuroscience and Anthropology departments. Privately, he has tutored a variety of elementary to high school subjects. He approaches teaching with patience and enthusiasm, and is committed to stimulating creativity and curiosity. In his free time, Luke enjoys reading, hiking, and traveling.
Mariya holds a B.A.in Anthropology and English from CUNY Honors College, and is pursuing her M.F.A. in Poetry at University of Massachusetts: Boston. She has worked as a private humanities and mathematics tutor for over ten years, and considers education her primary passion. A daughter of two scientisst, Mariya is as comfortable with a Jane Austen novel as she is with an RNA breakdown.
Megan C. attended Brigham Young University and majored in Math Education. She tutored BYU students in math and science, as well as taught two summer math courses. She is currently teaching math and science courses for a Boston private school and is expecting her first child in July 2013.
Meredith graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences and later earned her PhD in Molecular and Cell Biology from Brandeis University. Although she had spent ten years working in research labs, she has always enjoyed opportunities to teach, tutor, mentor, or volunteer with high school and college students. Currently she works at the intersection of biology research and education as a Technical Instructor at MIT.
Pam was a Cognitive Science major at Wellesley College where her courses were a mix of computer programming, linguistics, and philosophy. This turns out to have been good preparation for the range of skills required for tutoring! She worked in the software business for more than 20 years but happily left eight years ago and began tutoring middle, high school, and college aged students. At first, she focused on helping students improve their expository writing skills, but I soon branched out to include standardized test prep. She now tutors students in a broad range of subjects. She loves being a tutor and helping students improve their academic performance.
Paul received a Ph.D in philosophy from Boston University in 2001. He spent the next six years teaching at Kent State University. His classes covered all levels of formal logic. Since returning to Massachusetts in 2008, he has taught at several area colleges. He has also tutored students in a wide variety of topics including test preparation, calculus, geometry, physics, and writing.
Peter graduated from Carleton College. After graduating he worked for a production company in Minnesota that was producing a documentary about farm animal welfare. Peter has relocated to the east coast where he tutors students in essay writing, creative writing, and test preparation for the SAT. In his free time Peter is an avid photographer, movie goer, runner, and Tom Brady sympathizer.”
Priscilla will be receiving her B.A. in Biology and Education and her teaching license this spring from Wellesley College. Although she is no longer pursuing medicine like she originally planned, Priscilla continues to be fascinated by biology and chemistry and hopes to share her love for science with her students by making the concepts relevant to their lives. She is currently teaching chemistry at Boston Latin Academy. Having previously struggled with standardized testing herself, Priscilla is driven to help her students master the SAT/ACT and become confident, capable students in all academic areas. In her free time, she enjoys playing sports, running half marathons, and volunteering with youth.
Rachael graduated summa cum laude from Wilkes University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She went on to attend Northeastern University where she earned a Master of Science in Applied Educational Psychology and a Master of Education in Higher Education Administration. She is currently a Doctor of Education student at Northeastern and works at Brandeis University within the Institutional Advancement Division. Rachael has past experience with supplemental instruction and tutoring, and has a passion for helping students achieve their fullest potential.
Shafigh holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University. He has taught various courses in math and physics at UCLA, Stanford, and Singapore. Shafigh is currently doing research at MIT. Shafigh loves working with high school students, particularly on math and physics. In his free time, Shafigh can be found reading philosophy and wisdom, hiking, playing volleyball, rollerblading, and cooking.
Stephanie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Physics from the University of Colorado at Boulder, the nation’s top atomic, molecular, and optical physics university. She has been tutoring for seven years, both professionally and as a volunteer, in both the United States and Indonesia. Stephanie has lectured about topics in quantum mechanics in an Indonesian university, and she has developed curricula with top physics education researchers at the University of Colorado. Stephanie is known for sharing her enthusiasm for math, physics, and their applications with her students. As a former technical writer for CB&I, QiG Group, and several tech startups, she also enjoys working with students on the English sections of the ACT and SAT. In her free time, Stephanie enjoys reading neuroscience research and working on her novel. She is currently pursuing her PhD in electrical engineering.
Steve R. holds a B.A. from Brandeis University, where he majored in History, African and Afro-American Studies, and Politics. He earned departmental honors in History, and his senior thesis, Black Jesus in the Twentieth Century, was published in 2011. He currently works at Brandeis University in Development and Alumni Relations, where he helps to run many of the University’s Annual Giving programs. Steve has experience tutoring SAT, ACT, United States history, and writing, and he has helped students with their college admissions essays.
Teana graduated from the University of Massachusetts with a Bachelors in Science in Neuropsychology and a minor in Biology. She is currently working as a medical scribe and plans on attending medical school in the future. Teana has experience working with children and teenagers of all ages and would like to help other bright and motivated students reach their goals. Her hobbies include singing, cooking, eating, and playing basketball, soccer, or rugby.
Tracey holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from WPI and a Masters in Engineering Management from Northeastern University. After 18 years working as an engineer, she became a stay at home mom who has been tutoring and writing math questions for a variety of assessments. She has taught one-on-one, small group and online lessons. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family and playing golf.
Victor holds a B.S. in Mathematics from MIT and his teaching license in high school math from Wellesley College. He has taught AP Calculus AB, Algebra 2, and ACT Prep at a local high school but prefers working with students one-on-one. You will often find Victor singing, organizing events on MIT campus, or solving a good math problem.
Xander holds a Ph.D. degree in Chemistry from St. Petersburg Technical University (Russia). He was a postdoctoral researcher in German and Swedish universities and has extensive research experience working for pharmaceutical companies in USA. Currently he is a visiting lecturer at Framingham State University. For more than 10 years Alex is teaching chemistry at the university level. He also has extensive experience tutoring high school students in both their course work and the SAT Chemistry Subject Test.
